HOW TO PLAY

SQUADS

  • Users select 5 professional clubs for their fantasy squad in each fantasy contest they enter
  • Users arrange these 5 clubs into a formation with position designations on the My Squad tab of the Lineup Selection webpage
  • Each squad must start 1 GK
  • Each squad must start 1 DF
  • Each squad must start 1 ST
  • The other 2 starting fantasy clubs can be a combination of MD, DF, or ST
  • A lineup is successfully set and saved when all clubs are designated a position. A user will know the lineup is successfully set when the Game Lobby button or the Tournament Home button on the Lineup Selection webpage turns a brighter shade of green and is able to be clicked.
  • If you have any questions, please watch our Lineup Tutorial video on the Lineup Selection webpage or email us at support@fanfutsal.com
  • Clubs eligible for squad selection vary depending on the fantasy contest
  • Squads can be altered until 5 minutes before kickoff of their first club’s match. At 5 minutes prior to kickoff of the first club's match, the user's full lineup is locked.
  • Fantasy games begin and conclude according to the time window specified in the fantasy game. Only matches that take place during the fantasy game window are eligible to have their scores count for a user’s Fan Futsal squad.

TYPES OF FANTASY CONTESTS

    GENERAL

  • Fan Futsal offers public contests, as well as the ability for users to create private contests.
  • Users enter fantasy contests using Fan Futsal Currency (FFC) as the entry fee.
  • FFC entry fee varies depending on the fantasy contest.
  • Users are given a budget of $200K to fill their fantasy squad.
  • GAMES

  • Users compete against other users in a daily or multi-day (usually Friday to Monday) time window.
  • A user’s final position in the fantasy game is determined by the combined fantasy point total of the user’s squad entered in that game.
  • The users who finish in the prize places for a fantasy game are awarded FFC in accordance with the number of users that joined the game, FFC entry fee, and the prize structure.
  • If there is a tie for a prize position, both users are awarded the FFC prize.
  • TOURNAMENTS

  • Groups of 4, 8, 16, or 32 users play head to head (h2h) matches over 4-7 match weeks using clubs from a single professional league.
  • Users must set new lineups every match week.
  • Tournaments function like the FIFA World Cup with a guaranteed group stage of three h2h matches (over 3 match weeks) for each user, followed by two users advancing from each group to a single elimination h2h tournament (over 1-4 match weeks).
  • Individual head to head match results are determined by the cumulative fantasy points scored by the 5 clubs on a user’s roster for that match week. The tiebreakers for individual, knockout round head to head matches (there can be draws in the group stage, so no tiebreakers are utilized) would be:

    • 1 - Most goals scored cumulatively by all 5 clubs on a user’s roster
    • 2 - Least goals conceded cumulatively by all 5 clubs on a user’s roster
    • 3 - Most Fantasy points scored cumulatively by all Striker’s on a user’s roster
    • 4 - Most Fantasy points scored by the Goalkeeper on a user’s roster
    • 5 - Coin flip/random choice between 2 users
  • The group stage standings are determined by Table/Standings Points acquired by the users in their head to head group stage matches.
Users are awarded 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss. The tiebreakers for group stage standings for users to advance out of the group stage and onto knockout stage are:

    • 1 – Cumulative fantasy points scored by the user over his/her 3 group stage matches
    • 2 – Cumulative total of goals scored by clubs on a user’s roster over the 3 group stage matches
    • 3 – Cumulative least amount of goals conceded by clubs on a user’s roster over the 3 group stage matches
    • 4 – Coin flip/random choice between 2 users
  • Knockout round matches are between 2 users from opposing groups until the Final so that users only play the same user that they already played in their group in the Final match week.

OTHER RULES & REGULATIONS

  • Fan Futsal Currency (FFC) is the virtual currency used on Fan Futsal. Users are granted 10,000 FFC when they create a profile on Fan Futsal. FFC is used to enter fantasy games, awarded as a prize for performance in a fantasy game, and is used, as well as awarded for playing the Pick ‘Em feature. FFC is also awarded for loyalty and referral bonuses.
  • FFC has no real world value and cannot be sold, gifted, or exchanged in any way other than via participating in Fan Futsal games and offerings.
  • The club valuations in Fan Futsal are based on a club’s per game averages for goals scored, goals against, and table points (wins, losses, & draws) in the current season.  These averages are then converted to an average Fan Futsal score at each of the 4 eligible positions and combined to get a total value.
  • The current season’s statistics are used to determine valuations with the exception of the first 5 matches of a season.  For the first 5 matches of a season, the prior season statistics for a club are combined with the current season’s statistics to determine a value.  After the first 5 matches, only current season statistics are used.

    • For newly promoted clubs, the previous season’s statistics are multiplied by 60% for the first 5 matches to account for playing against weaker opposition the previous season.
  • Fan Futsal offers users the ability to spend 100 FFC to predict the outcome of a match. If the user predicts correctly, they are awarded 300 FFC. If they predict incorrectly, they lose their 100 FFC entry fee. This feature is displayed in the lower right section of the Lobby page.
