Every Tuesday, we'll post a few thoughts from matches over the past weekend. Here is our post-game presser for this week:
PSG losing on the road to Monaco was surprising. We didn't expect PSG to go undefeated and Monaco is a top 4 squad in Ligue 1, but it's always surprising when PSG loses in the league after their takeover 4 years ago. Also, Guingamp is off to a flying start and sits top of the league after 3 matches. We don't think anyone saw that coming after their relegation fight last year.
In the EPL, the Manchester clubs and Chelsea look very strong. None of the three have had any matches against the other top title contenders though, so it will be interesting to see how long their run of form continues.
The Bundesliga had very few surprises. Bayern is who we think they are and there were no other major upsets. Eintracht Frankfurt beating Schalke was a minor upset, but Frankfurt were home and it was a tight 1-0 victory.
Tijuana continued their great start in Liga MX and Tigres remained the only undefeated team in the league so far.
In MLS, the Eastern Conference is as clustered and confusing as ever. The table in the Western Conference is a bit clearer, but the battle for the 6th and final playoff spot over the last quarter of the season should be very interesting.

Every Thursday, we’ll post some thoughts on a few games and storylines to watch in the upcoming weekend’s matches. Here are some items we’ll be following:
The Bundesliga kicks off and is the last league on Fan Futsal to begin. We’ll be watching to see if Bayern will continue their dominance (most likely) and if there will be anyone else who can legitimately challenge Dortmund for second in the league (not likely).
Tottenham and Liverpool is the best matchup in the EPL this weekend, but it will be interesting to see how Manchester City looks. After an unconvincing win out of the gate versus Sunderland, they have easily beaten Steau Bucharest (twice) and Stoke City. We’re interested to see how they play against a resilient West Ham squad.
In Liga MX, we’re looking to see if Tigres can remain undefeated. Also, the Friday night match between Tijuana and Pumas UNAM should be a good battle between two of the top 6 teams in the early season.
These are a few of the storylines we’re watching over the next few days. What did we miss? What are you looking for this weekend? Let us know in the comments section.
